What is GATE?
GATE is a members club for people in transit. It connects verified travellers who are physically present in the same airport, so you can meet someone interesting during a layover, before a flight, or while you wait at the gate.
How does GATE verify travellers?
GATE confirms two things before you can join the lounge: your real flight, by scanning your boarding pass, and your location, by confirming you are physically at the airport. Both checks keep the community genuine and present.
What happens to a match after my flight?
A new match stays open for about a day, so a quick delay never costs you a connection. The moment either of you sends a message, the match becomes permanent and stays in your conversations for good. Matches that go silent simply close.
Is GATE free to use?
Yes. GATE is free to join and use. Optional Premium and First memberships unlock extra filters, more Golden Tickets, and enhanced visibility for travellers who want more from every journey.
Which airports does GATE support?
GATE opens one airport at a time, unlocking each once enough travellers there have joined the waitlist — so the lounge is busy from day one. Istanbul, Los Angeles, New York JFK, London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, and Ibiza are filling now. Join the list for your airport and invite friends who fly through it to unlock it sooner.
What is the minimum age to use GATE?
