Welcome to GATE. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use GATE. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and your own.

2. Your account

You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide truthful profile information and a genuine, current photo of yourself.

3. Flight and location verification

GATE requires you to verify a real flight by scanning your boarding pass and to be physically present at a supported airport. You agree not to falsify, spoof, or otherwise circumvent these checks. Doing so may result in suspension or removal.

4. Member conduct & objectionable content

GATE has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. By using GATE you agree to our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms. In particular:

• Treat other members with respect. Harassment, hate speech, threats, and unlawful behaviour are prohibited.
• Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
• Do not use GATE for commercial solicitation, spam, or fraud.
• Do not upload or share content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or that infringes others' rights.
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any sexual content involving minors are strictly prohibited. We report suspected CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement, and permanently ban the accounts involved.

Uploaded photos are screened on-device for explicit content before upload and may be reviewed by our moderation team. You can report objectionable content or block any member from within the app. We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours, and may remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these standards.

5. Sessions and connections

GATE connections are temporary by design and tied to your time at the airport. Sessions and conversations expire automatically. We are not responsible for the loss of expired content.

6. Memberships and payments

GATE is free to use. Optional Premium and First memberships are billed through your app store account and renew automatically unless cancelled. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your app store settings. Purchases are subject to the app store's terms.

7. Safety

GATE helps you meet people, but you are responsible for your own safety. Always meet in public, well-populated areas of the airport. Report anyone who makes you uncomfortable, and contact local authorities in an emergency.

8. Intellectual property

The GATE name, design, and software are owned by GATE. You retain rights to the content you create, and grant us a limited licence to display it within the app to operate the service.

9. Disclaimers

GATE is provided "as is." We do not guarantee matches, outcomes, or uninterrupted availability. Flight and location data depend on third-party sources and may not always be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GATE is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or your interactions with other members.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the community.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
